Advisors utilize the Send SMS page to send messages to specific users or groups within a school or organization, allowing them to share essential updates, notifications, or reports via SMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To open it, select Send SMS from the main menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To send an SMS to a group of users or specific users:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click on SMS Templates<\/strong> to choose a predefined template if required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Check your SMS Balance displayed at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Select a Template<\/strong> from the dropdown, or leave it blank to type your own message.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Enter your message<\/strong> in the provided text box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. In the To field, choose the recipients<\/strong> from the dropdown list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Click the Send<\/strong> button to proceed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Note<\/strong>: Click the SMS Template<\/strong>s button to create a new one explained below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To send an SMS to a group of users or specific users:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Check your SMS balance displayed at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Select a template from the dropdown to choose a predefined template if required or leave it blank to type your own message.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click in the Compose <\/strong>area to start composing your message.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. In the School field<\/strong>, select the relevant school from the dropdown or search by name. (if you are targeting more than one school)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. In the To <\/strong>field, select the group of recipients you want to send the SMS to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Use the Search Filter<\/strong> field to limit your search criteria within the selected group. (optional)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Either choose all recipients or select some of them from the list that appears under the All <\/strong>section using the arrow next to the user name, and then they will be moved to the Selected Users<\/strong> section<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Click the Send<\/strong> button to complete the action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      You can create a new template to be used to send SMSs or select from the available ones to edit or delete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      To edit\/delete one of the available templates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. While still on the Send SMS<\/strong> page, click the SMS Template <\/strong>button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. The SMS Templates dialog box opens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Use the search bar to find existing templates. Enter the template name, body content, or date, and click Search<\/strong> to filter results<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Review the list of templates displayed in the table. Each template includes details such as name, body, and date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. .To edit a template, click the pencil icon in the Action<\/strong> column for the desired template, make changes, and submit the updated information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. To delete a template, click the trash can icon in the Action<\/strong> column for the selected template and confirm deletion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. Use the Export<\/strong> button to download the list of templates. Choose the format and download the file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      8. Click Customize columns<\/strong> to select which columns you want to display in the template list for a personalized view.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        2. Enter the desired Template Name<\/strong> in the corresponding field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Fill in the Template Body<\/strong> area with the content you wish to include in your template.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Check the boxes for specific uses or restrictions:\n

          • Use for absences summary<\/strong> if the template is related to reporting student absences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Use for Virtual Classrooms<\/strong> if the template is intended for online class communications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Assign permissions to different roles by checking the appropriate boxes:\n

            • Manager can use this template<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Adviser can use this template<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Admission Officer can use this template<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Accountant can use this template<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Clinic Officer can use this template<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • If the template should be available for all schools in the group, check Use this template for all schools in group<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
